Every yacht needs to be registered. Often, the Owner will want to remove his vessel from bureaucracy, protect his asset’s and his vessel’s legality.
If you need to register your yacht, it is worth considering registry in the Cook Islands which is offered to private and commercial yachts from 20m up in length. This service differs from other flags in that no company need be formed. Simple membership of the Cook Island Yacht Squadron is all that is required. Additionally, you do not need to maintain classification society status.
